School Magazine Evaluation

School Magazine Evaluation

The magazine was made for the mind frame of year 7s to year 12’s or other college students. Its overall design is intended to entertain readers but to inform them at the same time with smart and up to date modern day references that youngsters can relate to. The front page and contents have the same design that allows the magazine to be easily memorable and noticeable, enough is colourful and noticed but not enough to be distracting or too bland.

The images are bright, full of colour and unique to the reader as they contain photos of the 6th Form centre so this is can be related to by other students, this also places the image as the centre of attention and contains the focus point for the front page. The fonts used are Arial Black as this is easy to draw attention by the reader and makes the text seem less dull than normal text. It also makes the magazine more adult aswell.

On the front page you can see lots of advertisements for whats actually in the magazine itself. The terms are also used to relate to children of a younger age like ‘ur’ which younger students will be able to understand and reflect better than adults would. Last of all the students can of course relate to the colours as they’re associated with the schools colours which are green. This is the biggest and most useful drawing focal point of the magazine itself.
